Stage 2 Time Trial Highlights

• Thankfully conditions were a bit cooler today compared to yesterday's 36 degree heat which the riders had to face on the opening day.
• The talented Junior Ryno Schutte is the first wearer of our Velotex Best Young Rider Jersey in the Tour du Cap.
• Lovely honour to have the Legendary former Grand Tour rider Jaco Venter be the first wearer of our Velotex King of the Mountains Jersey in the Tour du Cap.
  Jaco is in fabulous form and made no bones about being a strong overall race contender this year.
• Kent Main edged out Brandon Downes by 5 seconds in the 2nd stage time trial on Bains Kloof Pass to take over the overall lead in the Tour du Cap while Zanri Rossouw increased her overall lead in the elite ladies category.
